Annie UK Tour Critic Reviews
"It may be a hard-knock life for Annie, but it's not for me, after last night at the New Wimbledon Theatre. This vibrant revival of the classic family favourite dazzles, boasting incredible choreography and a scintillatingly talented cast, led by none other than drag icon La Voix. Whilst revisiting Annie as an adult means it's hard to ignore the bizarreness of its plot, the sheer charm of the production acts as the audience's equivalent of Miss Hannigan's gin blurring the narrative flaws so that everything seems bright."

"Proof that some classics never lose their charm, this is a heartwarming, uplifting and thoroughly entertaining production that everyone involved should be immensely proud of."
- West End Best Friend, Alexandra Theatre, Birmingham
"Saravanan's portrayal of the energetic, joyous Annie was infectious, whilst La Voix brought out both the chemistry and the loveable side from Miss Hannigan's usually calloused, drunkenly portrayed demeanour. These elements of emotional depth provided an explanation as to why she selfishly hatched a plan to sabotage Annie in the first place. Whilst a redemption arch for Warbucks allows the billionaire to switch from finding his joy in the bankruptcy of J.P. Morgan to finding contentment through slightly more ethical, philanthropic endeavours like throwing a Christmas party where Annie's friends from the orphanage could partake in a lavish gift exchange of gold presents."
- Theatre And Tonic, Alexandra Theatre, Birmingham
"Beyond being an incredibly entertaining, dynamic, and heartwarming musical, Annie stands out for its impeccable technical execution. Every scene transition, choreography sequence, lighting cue, and costume change appears neatly planned and coordinated. The production demonstrates an impressive level of attention to detail that allows the audience to fully immerse themselves in the story."
- Jadar, Manchester Palace Theatre, Manchester
"By the time the final notes of the evening rang out, the Plymouth crowd didn't just polite clap they erupted. The evening concluded with a thoroughly deserved, roaring standing ovation. It turns out the old song is right: you're never fully dressed without a smile, and thanks to this triumphant production, nobody left the Theatre Royal without one."
